Job Description

Alexandria Motors is hiring an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead our New and Used Vehicle Sales Departments in Alexandria, Minnesota. We are looking for a proven dealership sales leader who knows how to drive vehicle sales, increase gross profit, desk deals, manage inventory, coach sales professionals, and build a high-performing team. If you have successful automotive dealership management experience and are ready for an opportunity with strong earning potential and significant leadership responsibility, we want to hear from you.

Automotive Sales Manager Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the New and Used Vehicle Sales teams
Drive new and pre-owned vehicle sales, gross profit, and overall department performance
Desk deals and assist Sales Consultants throughout the sales process
Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals
Set performance expectations and hold the sales team accountable to established goals
Monitor sales volume, gross profit, closing ratios, CSI, and other key dealership performance metrics
Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
Manage vehicle inventory, pricing, merchandising, and aging units
Ensure effective follow-up of internet leads, phone opportunities, and showroom traffic
Partner with Finance, Service, Parts, and dealership leadership to maximize overall performance
Maintain a professional, customer-focused sales environment
Help create an exceptional buying experience that builds repeat and referral business
Qualifications
Previous Automotive Sales Manager experience required
Proven success managing or leading an automotive dealership sales team
Strong understanding of dealership sales processes, desking, inventory management, and profitability
Demonstrated ability to increase sales volume and gross profit
Strong leadership, coaching, recruiting, and employee-development skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Results-driven with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable
Professional, organized, and committed to operating with integrity
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
