The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and logistical movements. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is essential for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
