Job Description

JOB TITLE: Garment Compliance & Sustainability Coordinator

LOCATION: Head Office, Moorgate

CONTRACT: Permanent, full-time

HOURS: 35 hours per week

SALARY: Starting at £33,000 per annum

Are you passionate about sustainability, product compliance and ethical sourcing? Do you thrive on turning complex legislation into practical business solutions?

We're looking for a Product Compliance & Sustainability Coordinator to take ownership of a critical role at the heart of our business. Reporting into the Head of Garment Technology, you'll lead key compliance and ESG initiatives, ensuring our products, packaging and supply chain meet evolving UK and EU regulatory requirements while helping to drive our sustainability ambitions.

This is a unique opportunity to shape new processes and make a measurable impact on how we source, develop and sell our products.

As our subject matter expert, you'll lead compliance and sustainability programmes across multiple business functions, partnering with teams across Buying, Design, Production, Ecommerce, International, Marketplace and Operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Product & Packaging Compliance

  • Leading compliance across product, packaging, labelling and environmental legislation.

  • Managing requirements relating to UK REACH, EU REACH, RSLs, POPs, PFAS restrictions and emerging chemical legislation.

  • Overseeing obligations relating to EPR, Plastic Packaging Tax and Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR).

  • Managing packaging certification and conformity assessment processes across EU markets.

  • Maintaining compliance records, declarations and technical databases.

  • Identifying risks, addressing compliance gaps and ensuring robust supplier documentation.

Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing

  • Supporting our sustainability strategy through increased material traceability and preferred fibre adoption.

  • Driving initiatives involving OEKO-TEX®, GRS-certified materials, Lenzing™ and ECOVERO™ fibres.

  • Managing updates to the Modern Slavery Statement and ethical sourcing programmes.

  • Researching innovative, low-impact materials and packaging solutions.

  • Preparing the business for future legislation including ESPR and Digital Product Passports.

  • Supporting product transparency and legally compliant sustainability claims.

Supply Chain & Supplier Engagement

  • Monitoring supplier compliance across manufacturing and fabric mills.

  • Coordinating audits and corrective action programmes.

  • Building strong supplier partnerships to improve standards and transparency.

  • Ensuring product naming and marketing claims remain legally compliant.

About You

You'll already have experience working in product compliance, sustainability, ESG or garment technology within a retail or fashion environment.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • 3-5 years' experience in product compliance, sustainability, ESG or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of environmental and product compliance legislation.

  • Experience managing packaging compliance, EPR, PPWR and related regulatory requirements.

  • Knowledge of UK and EU chemical compliance frameworks, including REACH.

  • Confidence analysing data, managing reporting requirements and working with technical systems.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to influence across departments.

  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • The confidence to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical business guidance.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a compliance role.

You'll have the opportunity to build and shape a newly created position and play a key role in strengthening our responsible sourcing and sustainability agenda.

In return, you'll join a supportive, collaborative and ambitious team where your expertise will directly influence business performance, brand reputation and long-term growth.

If you're ready to combine compliance expertise with sustainability leadership and want to make a genuine impact in fashion, we'd love to hear from you.
