Job Summary:
Seeking Cloudera Public Cloud Platform Engineers to support enterprise-scale CDP environments across data, analytics, AI/ML, NiFi, Kafka, and observability. The role focuses on platform reliability, performance, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cloud modernization.

Required Skills – L3:

• 12+ years in Big Data Platform Engineering / Cloud Operations / Infrastructure
• 6+ years Cloudera ecosystem (CDH/CDP/Cloudera Public Cloud)
• Strong experience with CDE, CDW, CDF/NiFi, CDL, CAI
• Advanced multi-cluster and multi-environment troubleshooting
• Kubernetes troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Observability, monitoring, SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and performance tuning
• P1/P2 incident response, RCA, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform cloud infrastructure, IAM, VPC, networking, and storage
• Security and governance: Ranger, Kerberos, TLS/SSL, SDX
• Strong NiFi flow development, debugging, backpressure, and performance tuning

Required Skills – L2:

• 4–6 years Big Data Platform / Cloud Operations / Infrastructure Support
• 3+ years Cloudera (CDH/CDP)
• Hands-on CDE, CDW, CDF, CAI
• Monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and production support
• Basic AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform knowledge
• Kubernetes pod/log/resource troubleshooting
• P2/P3 incident handling and escalation

Preferred Skills:

• Kafka administration, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Cloudera CDP CLI
• Python/Shell/Terraform automation
• Cloud migration and modernization
• Hybrid on-prem to cloud transitions
• Experience with large-scale TB/PB environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and support CDP services across Dev/UAT/Prod.
• Monitor platform health, workloads, AI environments, NiFi, and Kafka.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, Spark, networking, IAM, storage, and service issues.
• Support P1/P2 production incidents, RCA, and preventive actions.
• Perform CDP upgrades, patching, rolling upgrades, and recovery validation.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Participate in on-call support and follow operational runbooks.

Note: This is a platform reliability/infrastructure operations role, not a data-layer ownership role such as Iceberg table management or data validation.
