Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, ensuring all submissions meet client specifications and company standards. You'll work closely with clients, engineers, suppliers, and project teams to help secure and deliver successful outcomes for a range of commercial, residential, and industrial projects across Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyse tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Develop and submit detailed, compliant bids in line with client and company requirements.
  • Assess material, labour, and subcontractor costs to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to support project success.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure tenders reflect achievable outcomes and scope clarity.
  • Identify potential project risks, variations, and opportunities for efficiency.
  • Provide cost and technical support throughout project delivery when required.
  • Ensure all estimates and related documentation meet Quality, WHS, and Environmental standards.
  • Stay current with AS3000 and other relevant Australian Standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the electrical or construction industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical systems, installations, and project methodologies.
  • Sound commercial knowledge, including contract conditions and cost management.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimation software and strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Commitment to accuracy, profitability, and continuous improvement.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tender deadlines.
