Data Analyst

4-month+ contract role, 4 days on-site in Marlborough, MA

A growing manufacturing company is modernizing its data infrastructure, building out a new data warehouse environment (Databricks, Fivetran, Azure, and ETL pipelines via Microsoft DevOps) that feeds Power BI dashboards and core business reporting. The environment is currently in UAT testing, with active development ongoing, previously supported by a third-party partner who remains engaged but is being supplemented with in-house capacity.

The company needs someone who can hit the ground running in week one: understand the existing data environment, know exactly how it was built, and start moving priority items to completion. You'll work with data sourced from both the ERP and a fully custom, in-house-built manufacturing execution system (MES), building dashboards, cleaning and troubleshooting data, and helping the team get key initiatives across the finish line.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of hands-on Data Analyst/Data Engineer experience, with a track record of personally troubleshooting and resolving data issues
• Demonstrated ability to trace data end-to-end — where it lives, how it's cleaned, and how it flows through ETL into reporting
• Experience building dashboards/reports in Power BI (Tableau or similar also welcome)
• Manufacturing background — familiarity with MES/ERP data and terminology (BOM, production/inventory data flow)
• Direct experience with Power BI, Databricks, Fivetran, and/or Azure
• Able to ramp quickly in a still-evolving, not-yet-fully-built environment with minimal onboarding runway

• AI-driven analytics capability — able to go beyond reporting current state to help inform what to build/improve next
• Familiarity with ERP systems generally
