Head of Sustainability Strategy - Director

Eton Clarke has been mandated by a global investment bank, to assist in their search for a Director to lead sustainability strategy at their London branch. This role works closely with the wider European team and reporting straight into senior leadership, and the Board. You'll be the person deciding whether a "sustainable" finance deal really holds up, leading the bank's response to new climate regulation, and shaping how the business grows responsibly.

You'll be:

1. Chairing reviews of sustainable finance deals and flagging greenwashing risk before it becomes a problem
2. Leading major regulatory programmes on climate risk and disclosure
3. Advising Risk, Compliance and Marketing on sustainability decisions
4. Reporting directly to senior leadership and the Board

You'll need:

1. Senior sustainable finance / ESG experience at a bank, regulator, or similar organisation
2. Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape (TCFD/TNFD, ISSB, PRA/EBA)
3. A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and holding your ground
