Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation & Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and commission industrial automation solutions for large-scale manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/MES integration, OPC UA standards, industrial communication networks, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and Mitsubishi GX Works.

• Review Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control philosophies, and automation architectures.

• Design and implement PLC-SCADA-MES integrations and data exchange interfaces.

• Develop and validate OPC UA Information Models and NodeSets.

• Configure industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA.

• Execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ/OQ, and system validation activities.

• Support machine safety reviews, risk assessments, and safety PLC validation.

• Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, process engineering, MES/SCADA teams, and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Control Systems, or Mechatronics.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
