Research Data Expert | London, NYC, Singapore- Innovative Algo Trading

Salary: up to £250k base + bonus
Fantastic opportunity at one of the world's top algorithmic trading firms. A community of self-starters from multiple tech backgrounds - maths, computer science, statistics, physics, engineering - they have built one of the world's most sophisticated computing environments for research and development with data at the core of all trading strategies.
As a Research Data Expert, you will own a designated data domain. You will source and mentor junior data engineers, platform engineers and alpha researchers to build and maintain trading strategies, assisting and validating their work. You will also manage the full end-to-end pipeline from vendor downloads to trading-ready data.
Additionally, you'll collaborate directly with researchers, providing them with fully featurized datasets and driving forward the business through rigorous data analysis and delivery.
This role would suit a strong problem-solver with outstanding attention to detail who thrives in a fast-evolving and energetic environment.
Skills and Experience Required

• 5+ years of professional experience in a specific data domain (e.g. alternative data, fundamentals, security reference or economic data)
• Strong programming skills in Python/R (ideally) and proficiency in data science methodologies
• Proven track record of building alpha through detailed data analysis
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Undergraduate degree in a STEM field
