Principal Data Engineer | United Kingdom | Hybrid

The Role
• Provide technical leadership across product domain squads.
• Drive the architecture and design of data solutions.
• Mentor and build capability within the data engineering team.
• Ensure cross-domain interoperability and consistency within the data mesh.
• Enable governance and compliance for data processes.
• Influence innovation and strategy for the data platform.
What You'll Need
• Extensive cloud data engineering experience with deep expertise in distributed systems and modern data stacks.
• Strong understanding of domain-driven design, data mesh principles, and product thinking.
• Proven track record in a Lead or Principal Data Engineer role.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its associated technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Airflow/Composer).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data lake/warehouse solutions and data governance principles.
