General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and stores management systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.
An exciting opportunity to join General Dynamics, a leading-edge defence company, as a Senior Electronics Engineer. This position, would allow you to play an important role in our innovative Test Development team, working on avionics and possibly on land based armoured vehicle communication systems.
In this role you will:
- Provide test solutions for highly technical electronic circuits and units
- Undertake test strategies and develop test solutions to ensure our products meet all our quality requirements and safe functionality within the aircraft
- Play a major part in technical investigations, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of electronic hardware and software
Working alongside highly skilled engineers, you will find your hardware/software knowledge continually expanding, leading to opportunities for future development and progression

Minimum of HNC level education or equivalent
Proven range of relevant experience
- Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
This role has a salary of between £45,600 and £57,000 plus our flexible benefits package.
