Platform Engineer Infrastructure DevOps

Job Description:
Marathon is looking for a Platform Engineer with a strong infrastructure DevOps/CI/CD background to support on-premises infrastructure automation and platform engineering initiatives. This role is focused on on-prem infrastructure, operational technology (OT) segmentation, infrastructure devices, and platform-as-a-service capabilities rather than cloud or application development.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and support platform engineering capabilities for on-premises infrastructure.
Develop automation and code tied directly to infrastructure devices.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-related development.
Manage version control and artifact management for infrastructure code.
Support infrastructure automation and OT segmentation initiatives.
Contribute to PaaS capabilities and innovation/automation projects.
Work across technical teams to translate infrastructure requirements into scalable platform solutions.
Clearly communicate technical solutions, implementation details, and business impact.
Has worked in an organization where platform engineering and infrastructure automation are already established.
Comes from an infrastructure-first DevOps background rather than application development.
Can explain real-world automation projects and technical decisions independently.
Understands both the technical implementation and broader platform/business objectives.

Required Skills:
Strong Infrastructure DevOps / CI/CD experience.
Hands-on on-premises infrastructure experience.
Platform Engineering experience or strong understanding of PaaS.
Infrastructure automation experience.
Experience with infrastructure-related code and devices.
Version control and artifact management.
Strong communication and technical explanation skills
