Neos is Seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Developer for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX.

Job Description

Required/Mandatory Skills: Oracle 19c - schema/table/view design, PL/SQL stored procedures, referential integrity, staging-table architecture for bulk data ingestion, standard audit-column pattern implementation, logical-delete (soft-delete) design, performance tuning/indexing.

Note: this is a database development role (schema, stored procedures, views, configuration-driven business logic), not an infrastructure/operations DBA role - no backup/recovery, patching, instance administration, or capacity-planning duties are in scope.

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with data migration/environment promotion (dev test production); versioned/metadata-driven schema patterns (e.g., template versioning paired with JSON snapshot storage); familiarity with Java/Spring Boot/Hibernate integration patterns; TxDOTCONNECT platform experience. Preferred certification for this role: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

• Database or equivalent Oracle development certification.

Required Years of Experience: 8+ years Oracle database development.

Required Certifications: None required by the RFP. Preferred, as they strengthen resume/experience scoring (40% of evaluation weight): role-relevant industry certifications - see role-specific note below.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Any Specific Industry, State Agency, or Domain Experience Required/Preferred: TxDOTCONNECT platform experience preferred, not required.
