Job Description

Job Description:
Our client, a US based Airline Service Provider, is seeking a hands-on Workday Scheduling and Labor Optimization consultant to support the implementation of workforce scheduling for their frontline customer service workforce. The team currently relies on Microsoft Teams, Excel, and significant manual auditing to manage schedules, shift attendance, timecards, and labor processes. The goal is to replace those manual processes with a configured Workday solution the internal team can own and maintain after go-live. The right person contributes immediately, works collaboratively with the internal HRIS lead, and transfers knowledge throughout the engagement so the client is not dependent on outside support long term.
Required Skills:
  • Deep, hands-on Workday expertise specifically in Scheduling and Labor Optimization; a generalist who needs significant time to learn the modules is unlikely to be suitable – must be an expert in custom configuration
  • Strong understanding of Workday time tracking and related scheduling functionality with the ability to configure and troubleshoot complex calculations
  • Experience designing scheduling solutions for large or complex workforces including shift bidding, shift trading, attendance management, time-card controls, and geofencing
  • Ability to account for strict airline and FAA-related workforce rules such as certification expiry and maximum working-hour restrictions
  • Strong knowledge-transfer and communication skills; the consultant must explain what they are building and why so the internal team can run and maintain the solution post-go-live
  • Ability to contribute immediately as a subject matter expert
BonSoft Skills:
  • Airline industry experience, particularly with regulated employee scheduling, dispatch, or technical operations populations
  • Experience supporting high-growth teams with rapid headcount expansion
  • Familiarity with Workday HCM environments including benefits, absence, payroll, compensation, and recruiting modules
  • Background working directly alongside internal HRIS teams rather than leading fully outsourced implementations
  • Strong English communication skills required for candidates based in Latin America
  • Active Workday certification not required; practical real-world implementation experience takes priority
