Senior Windows File Server & File Share Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Windows File Server Engineer to manage, support, troubleshoot, and migrate enterprise Windows File Server and File Share environments.

Required / Mandatory Skills:

·         Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

·         Windows File Server & File Share Administration

·         SMB/CIFS

·         NTFS & Share Permissions / ACLs

·         Active Directory Users, Groups & Authentication

·         DFS Namespace & DFS Replication (DFSR)

·         File Server Migration & Consolidation

·         Robocopy

·         PowerShell

·         Troubleshooting file access, permissions, authentication, and connectivity issues

·         Storage capacity and performance monitoring

·         Basic networking: DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, Routing, Firewalls

Preferred Skills:

·         NAS/SAN

·         Group Policy

·         Kerberos / NTLM

·         Experience working with Storage, Network, Security, and Infrastructure teams

Note: This is primarily a Windows File Server / File Share role. Advanced network engineering experience is not required.
