Field Service Engineer Job Type: Full-time Location: Please specify the location Salary: Please specify the salary range REED Technology are delighted to partner with an excellent organisation who are seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Service Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance their products and ancillary equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring that customer requirements are met and that we consistently achieve our SLA and KPI targets as well as contractual obligations. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct electrical testing procedures and use software monitoring tools to identify system faults. Rectify system, on-street hardware, and on-vehicle hardware faults within SLAs. Maintain direct correspondence with customers regarding maintenance and fault issues. Strive to improve KPI performance through diligent maintenance and innovative practices. Handle the installation and commissioning of on-vehicle and on-street equipment. Accurately maintain and update documentation related to the equipment and services. Collaborate with the local team and Configuration Engineers to ensure cohesive operations. Ensure compliance with the planned maintenance programme and attend periodic progress meetings with other staff. Uphold high standards of customer satisfaction and adhere to Health and Safety Standards. Essential criteria: NVQ or similar in Electrical Engineering, or Level 3 NVQ or similar in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Proven experience as a field-based engineer, electrical engineer, or vehicle technician with strong skills in fault diagnosis of vehicle electrical/electronic systems. Ability to work independently and maintain high standards when unsupervised. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong customer relationship skills and professionalism in customer interactions. Experience working in a pressurised environment and meeting tight deadlines. Desirable: Level 4 Diploma (or similar) in Vehicle Diagnostics. Experience working with Real Time Information systems, GPRS communications, and IT systems including applications and basic networking.
