SQA Engineer, Performance

BOLD is seeking for Senior Performance Engineer, who will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps, and Architecture teams to ensure our applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and availability goals. You will design performance test strategies, execute performance tests, analyze bottlenecks, and provide recommendations to improve application performance.

ABOUT THIS TEAM

BOLD Platform services team design, create, manage and maintain the highly scalable and distributed services for the wider use of web and mobile product applications/portals/websites. Current list of services are based on Microservices architecture whose domain ranges from visitor tracking, User profiles, authentication, content and payment.

Platform team uses state of the art modern technologies like .Net framework, Python, Java, SQL Server, My SQL, Graph DB, SOLR, and a lot of other tools & technologies serving millions of users with hundreds of million transactions everyday through a scalable and fault tolerant architecture.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design and execute performance test strategies for enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Perform load, test, spike, soak, scalability and capacity testing.
• Execute API performance testing for REST APIs, microservices, Azure Functions, WebJobs, and ASP.NET Core applications.
• Analyze application performance using monitoring tools and identify performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product, and Infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues
• Integrate performance tests with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Create utility scripts using Python or Powershell to improve automation
• Prepare performance reports with analysis, findings, and recommendations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 6–8 years of experience in Performance Testing/Performance Engineering
• Strong hands on experience with JMeter (mandatory) and working knowledge of LoadRunner.
• Experience in API Performance Testing using REST APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong understanding of Performance Engineering concepts and Non-Functional Testing methodologies
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and basic scripting using Python or Powershell
• Hands-on experience with New Relic, Splunk, Grafana, and Azure Application Insights.
• Experience testing applications hosted on Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications.
• Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting and data validation
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
