The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Open availability is required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
