Job Description

BrightHire is a category-creating, high-growth, Series B software company with a mission to give everyone the hiring experience they deserve.

We deliver on this mission by transforming the way many of the world’s leading companies build exceptional teams. We created the Interview Intelligence category, and our clients include some of the world’s most innovative companies—Canva, OpenAI, Ramp, Hubspot—up to the Fortune 500.

BrightHire is building a leading AI-native hiring platform.

We created the Interview Intelligence category by applying conversation intelligence to how companies evaluate and hire talent. Today, hundreds of organizations—from Ramp and Canva to SAP and HCA Healthcare —use BrightHire to make better hiring decisions, improve interviewer performance, and deliver stronger candidate experiences.

BrightHire is now part of Zoom and operates as a stand-alone business unit. This gives us a rare combination of startup velocity and global scale. We are growing more than 100% year over year, with significant opportunities to accelerate through Zoom’s technology, distribution, customer relationships, and broader platform.

We currently have two rapidly growing products:

  • BrightHire Interview: Conversation intelligence for human-led interviews.
  • BrightHire Screen: An AI interviewer for structured candidate screening at scale.

This is only the beginning. Our ambition is to become one of the three most consequential hiring platforms in the world.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Product to lead BrightHire’s next chapter.

You will be our senior-most product leader, responsible for helping determine where we play, how we win, and how we translate our ambition into products that create meaningful customer and business impact.

You will rapidly build context across our customers, products, technology, market, competitive landscape, and commercial model. From that context, you will develop a clear point of view about the opportunities that matter most and translate it into a focused set of high-conviction product investments.

You will lead product across BrightHire Interview, BrightHire Screen, and future products. This will require difficult decisions about how to balance products with strong existing momentum, platform investments, and entirely new opportunities created by advances in AI.

A critical part of the role is bringing leverage to the CEO, Head of Engineering, and broader leadership team. You will bring clear recommendations, articulate the underlying reasoning and trade-offs, and help the organization make better and faster decisions about where to focus its resources.

You will also ensure that strategy translates into excellent execution. You will stay close to customers, active product work, roadmap decisions, product reviews, launches, and adoption—helping teams resolve ambiguity, raise product quality, and deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will work across Zoom to identify R&D, platform, go-to-market, and distribution synergies that can create differentiation and growth at a scale BrightHire could not achieve independently.

The goal is not to build a large product organization for its own sake. It is to build an exceptional product and business. The right candidate is motivated by customer impact, product quality, strategic advantage, and growth—not team size or span of control.

What You’ll Do

Define how BrightHire wins

  • Rapidly develop a deep understanding of our customers, products, market, technology, economics, and competitive position.
  • Develop a clear perspective on strategy – where BrightHire should play and how we can win.
  • Translate our strategy into a focused sequence of product investments.
  • Bring the CEO and leadership team clear points of view, recommendations, and trade-offs.
  • Continually reassess our assumptions and priorities as the market and technology evolves.

Lead a multi-product portfolio

  • Partner with the CEO and Head of Engineering on strategy, roadmap, resourcing, execution, launches, adoption, and business impact.
  • Allocate resources across BrightHire’s current products, platform capabilities, and new bets.
  • Ensure our largest initiatives have a clear customer, value proposition, competitive position, success measures, and path to meaningful impact.
  • Create the product and platform foundations required to expand BrightHire into a broader AI-native hiring platform.

Turn strategy into exceptional products

  • Translate strategic priorities into clear roadmaps, ownership, resource allocation, and execution.
  • Create a lightweight operating model that drives speed and quality.
  • Hold a high bar for product value, usability, reliability, and trust.
  • Stay close to workstreams to identify risks, resolve ambiguity, and maintain momentum.
  • Ensure products move successfully from insight and concept through launch, adoption, measurement, and iteration.

Build AI-native products

  • Identify opportunities that become possible as model capabilities improve.
  • Apply your experience building great AI products – prototyping, evaluations, reliability, trust, product economics, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance rapid innovation with the transparency, quality, and trust required for enterprise adoption.
  • Personally use and experiment with modern AI tools and workflows.

Turn product into growth

  • Connect roadmap decisions to adoption, retention, and revenue.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and CS to translate product investments into revenue.
  • Participate in customer and prospect conversations and use them to sharpen product strategy.
  • Shape positioning, launches, enablement, adoption, and competitive narratives.
  • Identify opportunities to use Zoom’s tech, relationships, and distribution to accelerate growth.

Raise the bar across product

  • Be an insightful, high-leverage resource to product managers and designers, helping them sharpen their thinking, make better decisions, and produce stronger work.
  • Raise the quality of product strategy, judgment, craft, and execution across the team.
  • Build a culture of intellectual honesty, customer obsession, speed, and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

Strategic judgment

  • You quickly understand complex customers, markets, products, and technologies.
  • You identify what matters most and turn incomplete information into clear recommendations and trade-offs.
  • You can focus an organization around a few high-conviction product bets.

Commercial instincts

  • You connect product decisions to adoption, retention, revenue, and competitive advantage.
  • You are strong with customers and prospects and can distinguish broad market demand from isolated requests.
  • You understand how to build scalable enterprise products.

Product leadership

  • You have led significant products from strategy through launch, adoption, and measurable impact.
  • You have made difficult prioritization and resource-allocation decisions across multiple products or workstreams.
  • You raise the judgment, product craft, and effectiveness of PMs and designers.

AI product experience

  • You have successfully shipped AI-first products.
  • You understand model capabilities, evaluations, reliability, trust, economics, and customer value.
  • You actively use modern AI tools and stay close to advances in the field.

Execution excellence

  • You translate strategy into focused, high-quality execution without unnecessary process.
  • You stay close to the details that matter, resolve ambiguity, and maintain momentum.
  • You are decisive, dependable, and consistently raise the quality of the work.

Experience in recruiting technology or an adjacent hiring category is strongly preferred, but not required.

How You Operate

Hands-on: You want to build, not simply supervise. You stay close to customers, product experiences, and the work of the team while focusing your own time on the decisions and interventions that create the most leverage.

Positive and energizing: You bring urgency, optimism, and an attitude that raises the performance of the people around you.

Highly collaborative: You bring clear opinions without ego, engage constructively in disagreement, and earn trust through judgment and follow-through.

Passionate about hiring: You believe hiring is an important and underserved problem and are motivated to improve it for companies and candidates.

Competitive: You study the market, care deeply about pace, and want to build the product that defines the category—not merely participates in it.
