On Air Scheduling Coordinator

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a On Air Scheduling Coordinator for a contract position with a Major Media and Broadcasting Company located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
The On Air Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for supporting the entirety of On Air Scheduling department by maintaining on-air play-out schedules and personnel staffing schedules for cable and digital distribution operations. This role performs training within the team and serves as a point of contact/escalation for the overall scheduling organization.
Responsibilities:

• Maintains and completes on-air channel schedules for the suite of cable and broadcast properties by way of proprietary scheduling and automation systems
• Assists in the completion and adjustment of on-air staffing schedules for the suite of cable and broadcast properties by way of proprietary personnel scheduling system
• Provides flexible and changing coverage based on Live and Special event needs off hours and weekends
• Validates broadcast schedules for reliable on-air execution prior to play out including manual edits and availability to accommodate late breaking news and schedule changes
• Identifies and executes the application of missing content in a timely manner to maintain 24/7 content playout
• Serves as a point of handoff for the On-Air Scheduling Specialists and Personnel Schedulers
• Follows workflows, departmental SOPs, and training curriculum created by the on-air scheduling team
• Escalates issues in advance to engineering and other technical support teams with detail and understanding of scheduling system errors

Requirements:

• Associates degree in related field or equivalent professional experience required
• Minimum 1 year of any experience working in traffic, scheduling, or broadcast environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills required, especially Microsoft Office products including, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn new software programs
• Strong customer service skills required
• Proven effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple groups/levels in an organization
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure, team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability and willingness to adapt and learn in a constantly changing environment
• Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a 24/7 broadcast operation
• Willingness and open availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the 24/7 operational needs

Pay range: upto $26.00 per hour
