Microsoft Fabric Platform / Infrastructure Architect
Job Type: Contract
Duration: Long-Term
Location: New Jersey – Onsite/Hybrid
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Platform / Infrastructure Architect to manage and support an enterprise Microsoft Fabric environment. The role involves platform administration, architecture, performance optimization, production support, automation, and evaluation of new Fabric capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Microsoft Fabric tenant, capacities, workspaces, users, and domains.
  • Monitor and optimize Fabric capacity, performance, utilization, and throttling.
  • Manage and troubleshoot on-premises gateways and data connectivity.
  • Support Fabric architecture across OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Pipelines, Spark, SQL Warehouse, Power BI, and Mirroring.
  • Troubleshoot Azure networking, firewall, private endpoints/private links, and security issues.
  • Automate Fabric administration using REST APIs, Python, and/or PowerShell.
  • Support Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD processes.
  • Provide day-to-day BAU/production support and troubleshoot platform issues.
  • Evaluate new Microsoft Fabric features and conduct POCs for enterprise adoption.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Platform/Administration.
  • Experience with Fabric Capacity Management and Performance Optimization.
  • Experience with Fabric Workspaces, OneLake, Lakehouse, Pipelines, Spark, SQL Warehouse, and Mirroring.
  • Strong Azure architecture and networking knowledge.
  • Experience with On-Prem SQL Server, Gateways, Private Endpoints/Private Link.
  • Experience with Fabric REST APIs and Python/PowerShell automation.
  • Knowledge of Entra ID/RBAC, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
  • Strong troubleshooting, architecture, and production support experience.
Preferred
  • DP-700 / DP-600 certification.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, SSIS, Purview, or other enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience evaluating new/preview Microsoft Fabric features.
