Job Description
A growing space communications and ground systems organization is seeking a Senior-level Lunar Ground Systems Engineer to join its team in the Denver, CO area. This is a full-time opportunity supporting lunar and deep space communications initiatives through a global satellite ground network. The role is heavily focused on RF communications, SATCOM, TT&C, system integration, and mission operations support for a variety of commercial, civil, and government customers.
The ideal candidate will bring deep satellite communications experience and be comfortable leading RF compatibility test events, troubleshooting complex communications issues, and configuring customer systems within a mission-critical operational environment. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge lunar missions while collaborating with engineering teams around the globe. The team offers a flexible hybrid schedule with three days onsite per week and is open to candidates located throughout the greater Denver and Colorado Springs areas. Travel is required and estimated at approximately 20%.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of SATCOM experience supporting, developing, testing, or deploying space-to-ground RF communication systems
- Strong knowledge of TT&C communications and mission data transport architectures
- Experience designing or supporting RF communication systems including modulation, demodulation, framing, synchronization, and encoding
- Hands-on experience testing and integrating RF equipment including digitizers, up/down converters, software modems, radios, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience providing operational support and troubleshooting complex real-time customer issues
- Strong customer-facing communication and technical presentation skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Experience with CCSDS, DVB-S2, or similar space communications standards
- Familiarity with ranging, Doppler, and spread-spectrum technologies
- Experience deploying networked systems supporting digital IF over IP transport
- Linux administration experience and command-line proficiency
- Shell scripting experience
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments
- Experience supporting digital signal processing architectures
- Experience with REST API integrations and external system interfaces
- Previous experience supporting launch, early orbit operations, lunar missions, or deep space communications
