Senior Software Engineer - Backend/Node/Marketing Technology

Job Description
A growing digital media and consumer products company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team and help build and scale customer-facing applications and platforms.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys building high-impact features, improving platform reliability, and working across the full stack. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering scalable, high-quality software while partnering closely with product and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions and customer-facing features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that support business goals.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and ongoing platform improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, React, and Java.
• Experience building and supporting high-traffic, customer-facing web applications.
• Experience with AWS and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, database design, and application architecture.
• Experience working in agile development environments.

Desired Skills

• Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical resource to development teams.
• Familiarity with marketing technology, subscription platforms, or digital content businesses.
• Experience optimizing application performance and scalability.
