Job Description

Java Architect

Location: St. Louis, MO
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Experience: 12+ Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise applications using Java and modern cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API development, and system architecture, along with the ability to provide technical leadership to development teams.

 

Additional Experience

Greenfield (0 → 1) Builder Experience – Has built a new application/product from scratch, starting from the initial idea/design and taking it to a working product.

CDN / Edge Computing – Understanding or experience with technologies that deliver/process content closer to the end user to improve speed and reduce latency. Examples: CloudFront, Cloudflare, Akamai.

System Design – Ability to design a complete, scalable system: APIs, databases, microservices, caching, security, performance, etc.

AI-Assisted Development – Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or AI coding agents to write, debug, test, and improve software.
