Job Description:

Responsibilities:

·         Contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of applications used by DTCC.

·         Work with Business System Analysts and senior engineers to understand functional and nonfunctional requirements.

·         Assist with implementing application designs that align with DTCC technology standards and best practices.

·         Participate in performance analysis and tuning activities to help identify and resolve application issues.

·         Support deployment and runtime activities by collaborating with Infrastructure and Platform teams.

·         Follow established risk management and control practices; identify and escalate issues as appropriate.

·         Apply Agile and iterative development practices to deliver features and enhancements.

·         Develop application components and services under guidance from senior engineers and technical leads.

·         Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and compliance with functional requirements.

·         Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

·         Collaborate with peers to improve development practices, automation, and continuous integration processes.

Qualifications:

·         3–5 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.

·         Bachelor''s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Skills Required:

·         Core Development

·         Experience designing and developing applications using Enterprise Java.

·         Working knowledge of application security, transactional processing, and resilient system design.

·         Hands on experience with the Spring framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA.

·         Familiarity with build and dependency management tools such as Maven.

Messaging, Streaming & Caching

·         Exposure to event driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.

·         Experience or familiarity with Redis for caching or data access.

·         Understanding of basic caching strategies using Redis or Spring Cache.

Data & Persistence:

·         Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Aurora PostgreSQL.

·         Familiarity with database migration tools such as Liquibase.

·         Understanding of SQL performance and basic data modeling concepts.

Cloud, Containers & DevOps

·         Basic understanding of cloud platforms and deployment models (IaaS, PaaS).

·         Exposure to containerized applications using Docker.

·         Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift concepts.

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test processes.
