The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move and manage shipping containers.
• Load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure optimal safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.
• Uphold safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
