Client is implementing Oracle ERP Cloud and looking to backfill internal MS Dynamics GP team (AP/AR, GL, FA, Cash, Procurement)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) Consultant to support, implement, customize, and optimize Microsoft Dynamics GP solutions. The consultant will work closely with finance, accounting, operations, and IT teams to understand business requirements, troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and deliver effective GP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support Microsoft Dynamics GP modules.
• Analyze business and accounting requirements and translate them into GP solutions.
• Provide functional and technical support for:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Cash Management
• Fixed Assets
• Purchasing
• Sales/Order Processing
• Inventory
• Bank Reconciliation
• Payroll, as applicable
• Troubleshoot GP application, integration, reporting, and performance issues.
• Perform GP upgrades, migrations, patches, and version updates.
• Configure workflows, security roles, user access, and system settings.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, Crystal Reports, SmartLists, and SQL-based reporting.
• Write and optimize Microsoft SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
• Support integrations between Dynamics GP and third-party applications.
• Work with Integration Manager, eConnect, Web Services, or other GP integration tools.
• Assist with data imports, exports, cleansing, reconciliation, and migration activities.
• Analyze and resolve accounting and financial-process issues within GP.
• Document configurations, technical solutions, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Train end users and provide ongoing functional and technical support.
• Coordinate with developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting, controls, and overall system efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics GP/Great Plains experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and ERP business processes.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with Dynamics GP configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and integrations.
• Strong knowledge of financial modules such as GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, and Inventory.
• Experience supporting GP users and resolving production issues.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dynamics GP upgrades and migrations.
• Knowledge of SSRS, Crystal Reports, SmartList Designer, and Excel reporting.
• Experience with Power BI and data analytics.
• Experience with GP integrations using eConnect, Integration Manager, or Web Services.
• Knowledge of Dexterity or GP customization.
• Experience working with third-party GP add-ons.
• Microsoft Dynamics GP certifications are a plus.
• Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment.
