Position Summary
The Accounting & Finance Specialist supports the company’s U.S. and Canadian operations through day-to-day accounting, account reconciliations, inventory ledger reviews, and financial reporting. This position handles accounts payable, assists with accounts receivable and collections, and supports month-end closing, budgeting, and basic financial analysis under the direction of the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Bookkeeping
Process vendor invoices and bills, maintain accurate accounts payable records, and assist with payment processing in accordance with established approval procedures. Assist with customer invoicing, payment posting, and customer account maintenance. Review and reconcile AP and AR records for U.S. and Canadian operations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, payments, and account balances.

Prepare and send monthly customer statements, monitor outstanding receivables, and follow up professionally with customers regarding past-due invoices and payment status. Perform general bookkeeping and data entry, and maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Account Reconciliations & Closing Support
Assist with bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations, including investigating and resolving differences.

Prepare routine journal entries and supporting schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjustments for review by the Accounting Manager. Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reviewing account balances, verifying transaction records, and preparing required schedules and documentation. Inventory & Cost Accounting Support
Review inventory ledgers for U.S. and Canadian operations to verify that receipts, shipments, adjustments, and balances are accurately recorded.

Assist with reconciling inventory records to the general ledger and coordinate with operations and logistics personnel to investigate and resolve discrepancies. Assist with reviewing product cost records and preparing supporting schedules for inventory valuation and cost of goods sold. Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Analysis
Assist with preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and related supporting schedules. Compile and verify financial data for management reporting, annual budgets, and periodic forecasts.

Prepare basic budget-to-actual comparisons and assist with identifying and explaining significant revenue and expense variances. Support short-term cash flow forecasting by tracking expected customer collections, scheduled payments, and available cash balances. Accounting Controls & General Support
Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation requested by external accountants, auditors, and tax preparers. Follow established accounting policies and approval procedures, and help identify opportunities to improve record accuracy and workflow efficiency.

Provide general accounting and finance support to the Accounting Manager and assist with other administrative duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications
Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory records, and financial statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, including the ability to organize, compare, and reconcile financial data. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to investigate discrepancies and follow through on resolutions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with customers regarding outstanding balances. Ability to handle confidential financial and business information appropriately. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping, particularly in a distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-based business.
Experience supporting month-end closing, inventory accounting, financial reporting, or budget analysis.
Experience with QuickBooks, Acumatica, or other accounting or ERP systems.
Familiarity with Excel PivotTables and lookup functions.
Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English.
