Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer to join our Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) team at our Mount Holly, NJ office. This role involves the design, development, analysis, and coordination of plumbing systems — including domestic water, sanitary, storm, fire protection, and specialty piping — for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, natural gas, and specialty piping systems)
- Perform system and hydraulic calculations including pipe sizing, pressure loss, flow rates, equipment selection, and layout design in accordance with local codes and standards (IPC, NSPC, IF ASPE, &
NFPA)
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, national standards, and green building requirements (LEED, WELL)
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare detailed construction documents (drawings, specifications, and schedules)
- Coordinate and collaborate with architectural, mechanical HVAC, electrical, and structural teams for seamless project coordination
- Assist in preparing technical reports, proposals, and engineering studies
- Assist with construction cost estimating and scheduling
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with design intent and code requirements
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction administration phase
- Provide mentorship to Junior Engineers and Designers

Required Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required
- Strong knowledge of civil & plumbing engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in design software: Revit, GIS, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Mathcad
- Experience in project management and engineering
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
