Solicitor

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor in order to expand our Criminal Law team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, handling a varied caseload.

You will be:

·         Managing a varied caseload of criminal matters for a mix of legal aid and privately funded clients

·         Conducting advocacy in Magistrates Court

·         Managing a caseload of Crown Court cases

·         Attending court hearings and representing clients at police stations

·         Liaising with other solicitors in the team, clients, courts and third parties

·         Progressing cases efficiently

·         Preparing clear, accurate documentation and providing legal advice

·         Supporting and contributing to team objectives

·         Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

·         Solicitor with experience in criminal law

·         Excellent communication and client care skills

·         Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines

·         IT proficiency and strong organisational skills

·         A proactive, team-focused approach

Desirable accreditations:

·         Police station Accreditation

·         Duty Status or willingness to work towards it

Pension – The Peoples Partnership, 3% employer and 5% employee contribution which can be increased. Auto enrolled after 3 months but can join sooner if you wish.
