AWS Platform Engineer - £600 - £675 per day - Hybrid/London - SC Cleared - AWS - Docker - Python - Terraform

Key Reponsibilities and attributes required:
. Strong experience designing, building and operating cloud platforms and solutions, with AWS as your primary cloud provider.
. Hands on Terraform experience implementing Infrastructure as Code at scale and developing reusable modules
. A strong understanding of AWS services and cloud native architecture patterns.
. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab CI/CD.
. Strong experience working with Docker and containerised workloads.
. Experience developing or supporting serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and other AWS managed services.
. Strong Scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python or Bash.
. Experience producing high quality technical designs and documentation.
. Experience of working in agile delivery teams, mentoring engineers and helping establish engineering standards.
. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
. A passion for continuous improvement, learning new technologies and modern platform engineering practices.

Nice to haves
. Experience with AWS container services such as ECS or EKS is desirable; Kubernetes experience is welcomed but not essential.
. Designing or operating multi account AWS environments.
. DevSecOps practices and integrating security throughout the software delivery life cycle.
. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud providers is desirable in lieu of AWS experience. Experience working within secure or highly regulated environments.

This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
