Role: Microsoft Entra ID CIAM Architect

Location: Hybrid (TX/GA/NC/CA)

Role Summary

As a Senior Architect, you will design, build, and secure enterprise-grade Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) and Business-to-Business (B2B) solutions using Microsoft Entra External ID. You will bridge business needs and security to build a frictionless, safe login experience for consumers, guests, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

Define the technical strategy and reference architecture for Microsoft Entra External ID deployments.

Design secure, scalable, and high-performance CIAM solutions to handle large volumes of consumer identities.

Architect B2B and B2C authentication journeys, enabling seamless access for external partners and customers.

Map complex business requirements into high-level and low-level technical design (HLD/LLD) documents.

Integration & Engineering

Lead application onboarding and federation using modern identity protocols like Auth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and

SAML 2.0.

Implement external user provisioning, multi-factor authentication (MA), and lifecycle management workflows.

Configure custom claims, branding, and self-service user journeys within Entra ID

Integrate with external identity providers (e.g., Google, Facebook, Apple) and enterprise federation hubs.

Security & Compliance

Implement context-based access controls and risk-based adaptive authentication (e.g., risk-based Conditional Access).
