Job Description

Population Health + Wellness Intern

Location: Denver, Colorado (Onsite)
Internship Dates: Summer 2026 (May–August)
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Compensation: Competitively Paid

 

Role Overview:

This internship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in population health and wellness within a consulting environment. You’ll support the development of strategic population health plans, client communications, and internal resources—while learning how population Health initiatives, data, and vendor relationships contribute to risk mitigation and cost containment for clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

CLIENT WELLNESS STRATEGY

  • Assist in creating and executing population health strategies for MJ clientele
  • Collaborate on new ideas and improvements to population health initiatives
  • Develop wellness-focused communications and templates (e.g., newsletters, challenges)

EVENT & PROGRAM SUPPORT

  • Help coordinate and schedule wellness events (e.g., health fairs, biometric screenings, flu clinics, lunch & learns)
  • Conduct research on population health vendors and maintain internal vendor database
  • Review vendor capabilities and assist in proposal development

INTERNAL POPULATION HEALTH INITIATIVES

  • Contribute to development of internal wellness templates and resources
  • Support internal process improvements to enhance client deliverables

 

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Exercise & Wellness, Nutrition, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Committed to delivering exceptional client service
