Stewards clean food preparation and storage areas and maintain supplies for service. Cleans and stores pots and pans used by the kitchens and ensures that the surrounding kitchen areas are clean and organized. Support kitchen, banquet and outlet team with equipment needed for food preparation or table setups.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proper disposal of garbage
• Keep all refrigeration, storage, and working areas clean and in good working condition to comply with Health Department regulations
• Performs any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor
• Pick up cleaning supplies such as cleaning rags from the Laundry Department.
• Assist in the transportation of banquet food and BQT set-ups.
• Safe and effective use of equipment.
• Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to MSDS.
• Be fully aware of fire and emergency procedures and your role therein.
• Supply and maintain recycling and food bin.
• Control the use of dishwashing equipment, feed detergents and checks temperature controls
• Follow Chelsea grooming and uniform policy
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
