Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports daily HR operations across California and Arizona, with primary responsibility for administrative and employee lifecycle functions while partnering closely with the HR Manager. This role ensures compliance with multi-state labor laws, maintains accurate HR records, and supports recruiting, onboarding, training coordination, benefits administration, and employee relations initiatives. Based in Mesa, Arizona, this role provides both onsite and remote support to the Mesa HR function and field operations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), and experienced in HR systems, compliance, and workforce support within a multi-site environment. Manage HRIS data entry, reporting, file maintenance, and documentation tracking. Generate reports to support HR operations, compliance efforts, audits, and leadership decision-making. Track employee certifications, licenses, and training requirements to maintain compliance.

Recruiting & Onboarding
Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and onboarding. Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure completion of required employment documentation and compliance requirements. Maintain recruitment records and support workforce planning initiatives. Performance Management & Employee Relations
Train and support supervisors on HR systems related to performance management, employee documentation, and policy acknowledgments.

Maintain accurate records of performance reviews, disciplinary actions, coaching discussions, and performance improvement plans. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries. Support employee relations matters by gathering information, maintaining documentation, and escalating concerns as appropriate. Assist with translating HR communications, policies, and materials for Spanish-speaking employees as needed. Training & Employee Engagement
Coordinate required training programs, including safety, compliance, and professional development training.

Maintain training records and monitor completion rates. Support employee engagement initiatives, communication programs, and organizational culture activities. Administrative & Operational Support
Provide administrative support to HR and operations teams, including scheduling, reporting, and document management. Identify opportunities for process improvements within HR systems and workflows.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; 3 to 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within multi-site and/or multi-state organizations.
~ Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and employee records management.
~ Strong administrative, organizational, and recordkeeping skills with exceptional attention to detail. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, or field-based workforces.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification, or currently pursuing certification. Strong knowledge of HR operations, employment law compliance, benefits administration, recruiting, and employee lifecycle management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems. Compliance & Risk Management
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to walk throughout construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and project environments as needed.

Ability to stand for extended periods during training, onboarding, or field coordination activities. Ability to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots. Ability to operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices for employee support, reporting, and operational coordination. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel periodically to El Centro, California, and other company locations as needed.

Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.
