The Role • Installation of a variety of electrical systems, including cables, junction boxes, fuse panels, and transformers. • Cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment according to technical specifications. • Interpretation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. • Collaboration with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion. • Adherence to all safety and quality standards throughout the installation process. What You'll Need • Completion of a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, with a SJIB card. • Proven experience in marine installations or large industrial environments. • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working procedures. • Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions. • Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing, and cable terminations to trade standards. • Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
