Job Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious HR Advisor to develop their career, benefiting from excellent long-term progression and mentorship from an experienced HR Director. Working exclusively with our client, they are a long established and highly successful business with ambitious plans to expand. They are currently looking to recruit a full-time HR Advisor. The role is office based with occasional travel and involves supporting the HR Director across all day-to-day HR activities.
It requires a proactive individual capable of building strong stakeholder relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of the business and its employees, and delivering a visible, hands-on HR presence. This is a hands-on role, assisting the HRD to implement HR Best Practice across the business, looking at improving policies and procedures, gathering data for identifying trends, information gathering to look at statistics and identifying areas for improvement.
Being responsible for day-to-day HR, ER, absence management, performance management, rolling out HR projects and delivering a first-class HR service to the wider business. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious HR Advisor seeking long-term career progression while working closely with an experienced and supportive HR Director. The HR Advisor role will be a full-time office-based and will involve supporting the HRD as the business embraces positive change and seeking to increase their headcount considerably.
This is a great opportunity to help implement and develop HR best practice across the business. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on HR professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting managers, managing ER cases and driving positive change. Analyse HR data and produce reports that identify trends, highlight opportunities for improvement and support future training and development initiatives.
SKILLS
CIPD 3 (working towards CIPD 5) or CIPD 5 (support longer term to achieve CIPD 5 if required)
Good up-to-date employment law knowledge
Experience of employee relations, including leading meetings with managers
Previously worked in manufacturing or sector where there are blue collar staff in a busy organisation where no two days are the same
At least 2 years HR experience working at HR Advisor level
Excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, confident working in a team and on own
Previous experience of day-to-day HR administration, excellent IT skills (experience producing statistics, reports and identifying data/trends etc)
A strong team player who can use their initiative and is keen to grow and develop within the HR team
A keenness to hit the ground running, grow and develop within the HR team and work to high standards
Have previous experience of delivering on engagement, delivering relevant training and advice, understanding where improvements can make a difference and supporting on delivering necessary change.
