Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level System Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in operating systems, networking, cloud technologies, system administration, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.
Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
Support servers, workstations, applications, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
Configure and troubleshoot networking components, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
Assist with cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Perform system updates, patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system performance issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Assist with backup, recovery, monitoring, and disaster-recovery procedures.
Use scripting and automation to improve system administration tasks.
Maintain system documentation, technical procedures, and configuration records.
Collaborate with network, security, cloud, software, and support teams.
Follow IT security, compliance, and infrastructure best practices.
Required Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN, and networking fundamentals.
Familiarity with system administration and troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting is preferred.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of system monitoring and backup concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
Cloud infrastructure and administration.
PowerShell, Bash, or Python automation.
Docker and container technologies.
Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, endpoint security, and access management.
Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems.
Experience
Entry-level / 0–2 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, technical support, networking, or a related field.
Academic projects, internships, certifications, or hands-on lab experience are welcome.
Work Environment
Full-time position.
