Full Stack Developer

Overview

We're partnering with a progressive organisation in the CBD to find an experienced Full Stack Developer. This role suits someone who enjoys working across the full stack, taking features from idea through to delivery, and producing clean, scalable, high-performing solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

The team is also actively adopting AI-assisted development practices. They currently use AI tooling in their workflow, including Claude for coding support (and similar tools) to help accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and streamline problem solving.

About the role

You will join an Agile product team responsible for building and enhancing modern, user-centric applications. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, from concept and design through development, testing, and deployment.

Java is the core back-end language, and Angular 12+ is used on the front end. You will work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and QA to ensure solutions are robust, secure, and maintainable.

What you will be doing

• Building responsive, component-based front-end applications using Angular 12+
• Developing and maintaining back-end services using Java, with Spring Boot experience considered a strong advantage
• Working with RESTful APIs and service-based architectures, with exposure to microservices patterns beneficial
• Collaborating across disciplines to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality outcomes
• Participating in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
• Translating user needs and business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Writing clean, well tested, maintainable code across both front end and back end
• Using AI-assisted tools (including Claude) to support coding tasks such as generating scaffolding, debugging, refactoring, and documentation, while maintaining strong engineering judgement and standards

About you

You are a hands on developer with strong Java experience and a genuine interest in building intuitive, high-quality front-end experiences with Angular. You communicate clearly, enjoy collaborating with others, and care about code quality and continuous improvement.

You will stand out if you bring:

• Solid back-end development experience with Java
• Strong front-end development skills using Angular 12+ and TypeScript (RxJS, NgRx)
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern delivery practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Interest in UI/UX and improving the overall user experience
