Job Description

Technical Operations Manager | Dresden, Germany | Hybrid | €100,000 Base Salary (plus bonus)

The employer is a prominent organization involved in one of Europe's most significant semiconductor projects. They are seeking a qualified professional to establish the technical backbone of this initiative, ensuring operational readiness and compliance. This role offers a unique phased approach, beginning with strategic development and transitioning into a full-time leadership position.

The Role

  • Serve as the Technical Operations Manager, responsible for securing formal concession rights and registration with the Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerkskammer - HWK) for electrical trades.
  • Oversee technical compliance with DIN VDE standards and safety regulations, acting as the legal point of contact for electrical engineering matters.
  • Manage and supervise installation ("Hook-up") and de-installation processes, coordinate subcontractors and tool vendors, and conduct site walkdowns (from 2027 onwards).
  • Ensure quality assurance through inspections, final acceptance, punch list management, and troubleshooting support.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings and material proofs, for project completion.
  • Provide strategic advice to management on technical team structuring and the definition of long-term standards.

What You'll Need

  • Qualifications meeting the requirements for registration in the Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerksrolle) for electrical trades (e.g., Master Electrician, certified Technician, or Engineer - Bachelor/Master/Diploma).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical installation, industrial plant construction, or building technology.
  • Structured, assertive, and communicative working style, with a strong sense of responsibility for decision-making.
  • Prior experience in high-tech environments or cleanrooms (Semiconductor industry) is highly advantageous but not essential for candidates with exceptional technical expertise.
  • Willingness to take on the responsibilities of a formal authorized representative.

What's On Offer

  • An attractive compensation package with a base salary of approximately €100,000, plus a performance-related bonus.
  • A unique phased employment model: Part-time and highly remote-flexible initially (2026) for registration, transitioning to a permanent, full-time leadership role (2027 onwards).
  • Significant influence and decision-making authority in shaping technical processes from the ground up.
  • Opportunity to join an international team at the forefront of European semiconductor production.
  • Potential for additional benefits such as a company car, allowances, and generous holiday entitlement (28-30 days for full-time).
