Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA conversion, migration, and transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing complex SAP implementations and S/4HANA conversion initiatives, coordinating cross-functional technical and functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
 
Experience supporting Aerospace & Defense organizations is highly preferred, particularly within highly regulated, security-sensitive, or government-contracting environments.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA conversion and migration projects, from assessment and planning through execution, testing, cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization.
  • Manage SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion programs, including system conversion, data migration, integration, custom-code remediation, testing, and technical readiness activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, deliverables, risks, issues, and budgets.
  • Coordinate SAP technical and functional workstreams including Basis, ABAP, Security, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and integration teams.
  • Work closely with SAP Basis and infrastructure teams on S/4HANA system landscape planning, environment readiness, upgrades, migrations, performance, and production cutover.
  • Oversee data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and migration execution.
  • Coordinate custom code analysis and remediation activities to ensure existing SAP developments are compatible with the S/4HANA target environment.
  • Manage integration activities across SAP and non-SAP applications using APIs, middleware, interfaces, IDocs, RFCs, and other integration technologies.
  • Establish and manage testing strategies, including unit, system integration, regression, performance, security, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Lead cutover planning and execution, including dress rehearsals, migration sequencing, downtime planning, rollback procedures, go-live readiness, and hypercare.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, technical issues, dependencies, and change requests, escalating critical items to executive stakeholders as required.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, SAP leadership, vendors, and system integrators to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage project governance, including Steering Committee meetings, status reporting, RAID logs, executive dashboards, resource planning, and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with applicable security, regulatory, quality, audit, and organizational standards.
  • Drive Agile/Waterfall project methodologies as appropriate and facilitate project planning, sprint/release planning, status meetings, and stakeholder reviews.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation or conversion programs.
  • Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture and dependencies across SAP functional modules.
  • Experience coordinating multiple SAP workstreams and geographically distributed teams.
  • Aerospace & Defense industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated, government, defense, or security-sensitive environments is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • PMP, SAP Activate, or comparable project management certification is preferred.
 
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Senior SAP Project Manager / SAP Program Manager who combines strong project leadership with enough SAP technical depth to manage S/4HANA conversion and migration teams effectively.
