🚛 Build Relationships. Cover Loads. Deliver Results.

Join TCI as a Carrier Procurement Representative!

💰 Potential Annual Earnings: $70,000–$80,000 (Base Salary + Incentives)
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
📍 Location: North Richland Hills, TX | Onsite

This is an onsite position—not a remote opportunity.

Are you someone who picks up the phone, builds strong relationships, and finds solutions when plans change?

TCI Transportation is looking for a proactive Carrier Procurement Representative to join our brokerage team. You’ll secure trucks for customer shipments, develop dependable carrier relationships, and take ownership of the performance of your assigned loads.

Reporting to the Director of Carrier Procurement, you’ll play a direct role in keeping freight covered, carriers connected, and customers informed. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, sound judgment, and the follow-through to see commitments through.

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

🚚 Secure Trucks & Keep Freight Moving
Arrange carrier coverage for assigned shipments and manage multiple carriers and loads while keeping customer service at the forefront.

📞 Find & Develop New Carrier Relationships
Prospect through cold calls, initial outreach, and consistent follow-up to identify carriers, present opportunities, and close business.

🤝 Build Dependable Partnerships
Maintain regular communication with carriers to support immediate shipment needs and build relationships that serve the business over time.

📍 Stay on Top of Every Load
Track and trace shipments in transit, communicate changes, and provide timely updates to customers, account managers, Sales, and leadership.

💻 Keep Records Accurate
Enter carrier details correctly in McLeod, complete associated system work, and help the back-office team obtain required carrier paperwork.

🛡️ Put Safety & Compliance First
Uphold company safety policies and procedures while ensuring applicable DOT, FMCSA, and local requirements are met.

📊 Take Ownership of Results
Work with leadership to establish and execute department goals, report performance, and help meet or exceed customer expectations.

✅ What You Bring

🗣️ Clear, Confident Communication
You’re comfortable making calls, presenting information, listening carefully, and handling difficult conversations professionally.

📋 Organization & Accountability
You can manage competing priorities, complete work accurately, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for your commitments.

🧩 Practical Problem-Solving
You adapt when circumstances change, stay composed, and focus on resolving problems rather than assigning blame.

🗺️ Strong U.S. Geography Knowledge
You understand major cities, distances, and estimated transit times—including how time zones, time of day, and weather can affect transportation.

🔢 Analytical Ability
You can research information, calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, and use the relevant facts to work through a problem.

💻 Computer Skills
You bring strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook, along with familiarity with web-based applications.

Dependable follow-through matters. This role requires a strong work ethic and flexibility when additional time is necessary to meet goals.

🚀 Ready to Make the Connection?

Put your communication skills, transportation knowledge, and problem-solving ability to work in a role where your actions directly affect shipment coverage and service.
