Job Description

Position: Financial Controller (UK Accounting)

Employment Type: Contract (3 Months) (Can extend as per client requirements)

Location: Ahmedabad (On-site)

Experience: 3-5 Years (UK Financial Controller Experience)

Software: Xero

Qualification: ACCA (Qualified)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with strong expertise in UK Accounting to join our team on a 3-month contractual basis. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing financial operations for UK-based clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and working extensively on Xero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end financial operations for UK clients.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Review VAT returns and support statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Identify process improvements and implement financial controls.
  • Work closely with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in UK Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Xero Accounting Software.
  • Experience with VAT, management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified (Preferred)

Employment Details

  • Contract Duration: 3 Months
  • Location: WFH/WFO
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday (or as per company policy)
