London (Holborn - 3 days a week) Competitive salary

We're looking for a Head of Finance to join a growing group of technology businesses, working closely with the founder across both the day-to-day finance and the decisions that will shape what happens next.

This is a genuinely hands-on role. You'll be producing the numbers, not simply reviewing them, while bringing the commercial judgement to scrutinise performance, challenge assumptions and help assess new opportunities.

The role

You'll take responsibility for finance across the group, including:

• producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reporting

• managing invoicing, payments and day-to-day financial controls

• providing financial analysis and insight to support commercial decisions

• preparing board and management reporting

• ensuring the appropriate accounting and tax treatment of activity across different countries and jurisdictions

• working closely with the founder to assess opportunities, identify financial risks and challenge assumptions

• building financial models and scenarios to support investment and business decisions

• supporting financial due diligence, data rooms and acquisition or disposal activity when required

• working with accountants, tax specialists, lawyers and other external advisers where specialist expertise is needed

Who we're looking for

You'll be a qualified accountant with:

• experience working within a technology or SaaS business

• experience within a start-up, scale-up or entrepreneurial SME environment

• strong management accounting, forecasting, cash-flow and financial modelling capability

• experience of finance within a business operating across international markets, with an understanding of the accounting, tax and compliance considerations that come with cross-border activity

• the ability to interrogate financial information, identify risk and make well-reasoned commercial assessments

• some exposure to M&A, financial due diligence or transactions

• confidence working directly with founders, CEOs or senior leadership

• the appetite to remain close to the detail and personally deliver the day-to-day finance activity
