Job description
The Maintenance position performs preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision.
Yearly pay range: $76000 - $92500
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Performs preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
- Performs machine repair and installation such as replacing motors, gear boxes, screw conveyors, threading piping, weld piping, repair/replace pumps and uses cutting torch.
- Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment as needed.
- Diagnosis and replacement of equipment parts with little or no direction.
- Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
- Responsible for using assigned personal protective equipment and required safety equipment; responsible for being familiar with and observing all Company safety rules and regulations.
- Attends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 - year experience in industrial maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 - years experience with stick/arc welding.
- Minimum of 1-year experience using a plasma cutter and oxygen acetylene torch.
- Minimum of 2-year operating arial lifts.
- Must be able to work rotating weekend shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a slaughter/rendering plant.
- Experience with high pressure boilers. Blowdowns, chemical testing etc.
- High mechanical aptitude; able to diagnosis repair problems with motors and other equipment.
