Senior AJOC Systems Support Engineer

GovCIO LLC seeks a Senior AJOC Support Engineer to provide mission-critical support for federal IT operations. In this role, you will monitor and maintain AJOC environments, manage incidents and outages, and ensure high availability, security, and performance of government systems. You'll troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, implement runbooks and automation, and collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity, and program teams. Working in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment, you'll help modernize federal IT while mentoring junior staff and continuously improving tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support AJOC environments to ensure availability, performance, and security for federal customers.
• Respond to, triage, and resolve incidents, outages, and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, and network issues across Linux/Windows and cloud environments.
• Develop, maintain, and improve runbooks, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
• Implement automation and monitoring improvements to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams on root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Support compliance with federal security policies and change management processes.
• Mentor junior support engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
