Job Title: Software Engineering - Java J2EE - Intermediate

Location: Wilmington, DE; Columbus, OH; Houston, TX; Plano, TX or Chicago, IL (In person)

Duration: Contract to Hire - 6 months

Experince- 5 to 10 Years 

 

We are seeking a Jr Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java J2EE, Spark/Spark, AWS services, and Agile delivery and a proven ability to design, build, and operate resilient ETL and streaming data pipelines in cloud environments.

 

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Java J2EE and data pipeline solutions.

Build and support ETL and streaming pipelines using PySpark/Spark.

Leverage AWS services including SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS for application and data workflows.

Apply Agile practices and participate in ceremonies to deliver incremental value.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 

Proficiency in Java J2EE application development and common design techniques.

Extensive hands-on experience with PySpark/Spark and ETL/streaming pipelines.

Experience with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

Advanced proficiency in one or more languages such as Python or Java.

Understanding of CI/CD, TDD, cloud development, application resiliency, and security.

Working knowledge across software engineering disciplines including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

4-5+ years of applied software engineering experience with relevant training or certification.

 

Experience with Shell scripting on Unix systems.

Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code.

Familiarity with modern LLM techniques and practical LLM use case development on OpenAI Azure.
