Senior System Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in need of a Senior System Administrator in Wilmington, MA.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support hybrid infrastructure across on-premises, colocation, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud environments
• Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, identity services, and role-based access controls
• Manage endpoints across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments
• Oversee Microsoft Intune, device imaging, patching, software deployment, and endpoint lifecycle management
• Support endpoint security and monitoring technologies, including SentinelOne and Absolute
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions, including routine recovery testing
• Troubleshoot complex server, cloud, identity, infrastructure, and endpoint issues
• Serve as a senior escalation resource for service desk and technical support teams
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, security, and overall system health
• Support identity governance, access management, system integrations, and identity automation initiatives
• Develop technical documentation, operating procedures, and infrastructure standards
• Improve operational efficiency through scripting, automation, and process optimization
• Mentor junior technical staff and provide guidance on complex infrastructure issues
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, security initiatives, and technology strategy

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of systems administration experience within hybrid IT environments
• Strong experience supporting on-premises/colocation infrastructure and Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud
• Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, with macOS administration experience
• Hands-on expertise with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and identity/access management
• Experience with endpoint security and monitoring tools such as SentinelOne and Absolute
• Strong background in patch management, device imaging, software deployment, and endpoint lifecycle management
• Experience managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity technologies
• Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, cloud platforms, identity systems, and endpoints
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python
• Experience with identity governance, access controls, and automated provisioning processes
• Strong technical documentation, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
