.Net/Sr. Software Engineer

Introduction: As a .Net/Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions and contributing to the improvement of existing software systems. You will play a key role in projects involving the migration of legacy applications to cloud-based environments and the development of scalable, maintainable applications. Your expertise in .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Transact-SQL, Microsoft Azure, and cloud computing will be essential in driving the success of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications using .NET, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Participate in the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members in software development best practices.
• Design and implement architectures with a focus on stability, performance, scalability, and localization requirements.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and implement quality up-front initiatives such as TDD and CI.
• Handle transient error handling, asynchronous processing, queue-driven processing, event processing, and eventual consistency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent in software development.
• 10+ years of programming experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, REST, and C#.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL database design, T-SQL, and stored procedure programming.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and development using software development best practices and patterns.
• Experience with developing cloud-based applications, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Agile Teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with WCF and WPF windows applications.
• gRPC experience.
• Knowledge of the Tax and Accounting field.

For Extra Credit:

• The idea of drawing out/documenting complex systems gets you going.
• Experience with cleaning up tech debt.
• Understanding of why having too many branches in a git repository is not ideal.
• Experience building hosted applications in a large, multi-tier environment.
