Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Technical Business Analyst with strong expertise in Real-Time Payments, FedNow, The Clearing House (TCH) RTP, ISO 20022 messaging, payment processing, treasury, and liquidity management.
The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams, own payment product requirements, drive solution design and delivery, and work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, architects, developers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with FedNow and/or TCH RTP, including payment flows, compliance requirements, Request for Payment (RFP), retrieval requests, ISO 20022 messaging, liquidity management, and real-time payment processing.
Required Skills:
- Strong Payments Domain knowledge (ACH, Wires, SWIFT, RTP, ISO 20022, Treasury Payments)
- 8+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Payments, Treasury, or related technology domains.
- Strong experience as a Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Payments Business Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with Real-Time Payments.
- Strong knowledge of TCH RTP and/or FedNow.
- Strong understanding of payment processing and payment lifecycle.
- Experience with ISO 20022 messaging and payment message types.
- Strong understanding of Treasury and Liquidity Management.
- Experience with Request for Payment (RFP) capabilities is highly preferred.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements.
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage product requirements for Real-Time Payment platforms, including TCH RTP and/or FedNow.
- Partner with business stakeholders, payment operations, technology teams, vendors, architects, developers, and QA teams to deliver solutions on schedule.
- Translate business needs and regulatory requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, prioritization, and backlog management.
- Drive enhancements related to TCH RTP and FedNow payment capabilities, compliance, and network specifications.
- Analyze and document end-to-end payment flows, including initiation, processing, response, settlement, exception, and reconciliation scenarios.
- Work on Request for Payment (RFP) capabilities, including initiation, response, processing, and related RFI/technical clarification activities.
- Support implementation of FedNow specifications, including retrieval requests/responses and other real-time payment requirements.
- Work extensively with ISO 20022 messaging, particularly payment and settlement messages such as pacs.009, and understand message structures, business rules, and payment flows.
